myhud.net — Terminal Hacking Game

You're a hacker with a terminal and a network map. Everyone else is out there too.

myhud.net is a persistent, multiplayer hacking simulation. Scan the network, size up a target, build the right tools, and break in. Every server you take is real — owned by the game world or by another player — and every server you own can be taken right back. Build a botnet, farm passive income, and watch your back.

The Core Loop

- Scan the grid for servers in range

- Probe a target to check its defenses and the tools you'll need

- Hack it — success scales with your hardware, and your tools burn whether you win or lose

- Deploy programs on servers you own for passive income over time

- Collect your earnings before risk (and rival hackers) catch up to you

- Upgrade your rig and push into harder territory

What Makes It Tick

- Live PvP economy. Every server has an owner — or doesn't, yet. Hack one out from under another player and they'll get an alert. They can hack it right back.

- TRACE. Every action makes you more visible. Push too far and you're locked out until you cool down. Reading the risk is half the game.

- Real progression. Hardware tiers, software upgrades, and a tool economy that actually gates what you can touch — no server falls without the right kit.

- Quests from The Handler. Multi-step jobs with real time pressure, delivered through your in-game inbox.

- A living inbox. Mail other players, get compromise alerts, and follow quest threads — all without leaving the terminal.

- No dead ends. Broke and can't afford tools for your next hack? Freelance gigs pay guaranteed (if modest) credits with zero risk, so there's always a way back in.

Two Ways to Play

Play it as a straight terminal — type commands, read output, feel like you're actually in a shell. Or use the graphical client: a live network map, point-and-click targeting, and a terminal drawer underneath for when you want to drop back to raw commands. Same account, same world, either way.

Status

myhud.net is in active beta development. New commands, quests, and systems ship regularly, and yes, that means occasional breaking changes. Join the Discord to follow development, report bugs, or just talk shop with other hackers.
